  The i-LEAP K1 Mathematics Programme is crafted to incorporate play-based activities to:

  • introduce children to mathematical concepts beyond recognising and reciting numbers
  • support young children’s ability to connect new words that are required for them to apply in "mathematical language"
  • encourage children’ to synthesise general mathematical ideas using systematic approaches in mathematics learning
    

  
  The instructions applied in the i-LEAP K1 Mathematics Programme gradually extend children's prior mathematics knowledge to encourage them to be active learners and accept new challenges, which is aligned to the 5E Model of Instructions.
  

  In addition to the lessons and activities in the coursebooks and activity books, the i-LEAP K1 Mathematics Programme provides additional resources below to help teachers carry out play-based learning activities using the 5E Model of Instructions approach, making teaching early childhood mathematics more engaging and effective.
